“Elf Jr.” is a junior version of the popular musical “Elf,” which is based on the 2003 movie “Elf” starring Will Ferrell. The story follows Buddy, a human raised by elves at the North Pole, who embarks on a journey to New York City to find his biological father and discover his true identity. The junior version is adapted for young performers and audiences, featuring a condensed script, shorter runtime, and simplified music while retaining the charm and humor of the original. The show includes lively songs, colorful characters, and a heartwarming message about family, love, and the magic of Christmas.

                 MYACT SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS                                    2024 UPDATE

This year we were able to help 18 kids from low-income families attend Summer Camp due to the generous donations of local businesses and families.  A huge shout-out and thank you to Black Oak Casino, Adventist Health, Habit Burger and all the individuals who contributed to scholarships and sponsorships. Your help is invaluable in making  Theater Summer Camp available to everyone.

Mountain Youth and Community Theatre is currently seeking community-minded individuals with experience in fundraising, Marketing, social media, or basic facilities maintenance to join our Board or volunteer pool.  Our mission is to provide performance opportunities for our community as well as build the next generation of performing arts audiences.
